Event Description

In honor of the 200th anniversary of Illinois becoming a state, Rockford Urban Ministries hosts a special Illinois History Art Sale in the JustGoods Fair Trade Store back room Gallery, at 201 Seventh Street, Rockford. For sale are old maps for the early 1800’s showing Illinois in various imaginings; political prints of local and state politicians including Abraham Lincoln, former Governor Dan Walker, and John B. Anderson; old photographs, water colors, posters, knickknacks, and sculpture. All proceeds from the Illinois History Sale benefit Rockford Urban Ministries, an outreach of 25 area congregations working in the city. The Sale is open during JustGoods fair trade store hours: Monday through Saturday, 10am to 6pm, or by private appointment by calling 815-964-7111.
