Administrators say <a href="" target="_blank">the change will better reflect the mission of the institution</a>.&nbsp; The school was founded in 1847 as Rockford Female Seminary. Rockford’s current student body is around 1,250 students. The former banker started the job after several years of <a href="" target="_blank">tumultuous financial footing</a> in which the college <a href="" target="_blank">sold off artwork </a>to raise funds. Head says those years are past, and the college is entering a new chapter to reach out to international students.
