Midway Village Museum CommUNITY Picnic
WNIJ invites you to the CommUNITY Picnic on Sunday, July 26, at the Midway Village Museum in Rockford. This year’s theme of Treasured Family Fun will feature activities the whole community can engage in while interacting with the museum’s unique features.
Come out and learn about life in the early 1900s. Enjoy live music and ethnic dancing from a variety of cultures and discover treasure in the scavenger hunt. There will a community art project and the opportunity to design your family’s crest for display at the museum. The museum’s “Many Faces, One Community” exhibit on immigration will also be open as a self-guided tour.
This is a free event. Families are welcome to bring a picnic to enjoy in the Victorian Village or picnic food favorites will be available for purchase. Visit our Events page to find out more.
