UPDATE: Police briefing tonight on Keller case

DeKalb, IL –

A news conference has been scheduled by DeKalb Police Chief Bill Feithen for 8:00 pm Friday. He heads the major crimes task force investigating the killing of Northern Illinois Freshman Antinette "Toni" Keller. Feithen and DeKalb County State's Attorney John Farrell will discuss what Feithen is calling a "major development."

Campus reaction to Toni Keller investigation

DeKalb, IL – The public could get some information and some comfort at today's events centering on Northern Illinois University student Antinette Keller. Keller disappeared 12 days ago. Police are calling her case a "death investigation," but have provided few details so far.

Missing NIU student

DeKalb, IL –

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 24:

Heightened security continues today at Northern Illinois University. Police announced over the weekend a body had been found in a thickly wooded area near campus. It's the same park where 18-year-old Antinette Keller had told friends she was going when she was last seen October 14th. They also said the missing person's case had been re-classified as a death investigation.

DeKalb, IL – The crowd was sparse, but the discussions were lively at last night's gubernatorial debate at Northern Illinois University. The Republican and Democrat didn't show up, so there was plenty of room in the spotlight for third parties. WNIJ's Susan Stephens reports.
