The founder of the Beloit International Film Festival says he’ll step down from his position as executive director after the next festival takes place in the spring.
The Beloit Daily News reports that Rod Beaudoin says he wants to focus on programming a Hollywood Film Festival channel that he’s been developing. The channel will be available on Roku and Apple TV in 2017.
Beaudoin has run the Beloit festival, often referred to simply as “BIFF,” since its inception 12 years ago. He also took over leadership of the Hollywood Film Festival several years ago. The two festivals began sharing films last year.
BIFF Development Director and Beloit native Max Maiken will take over as the festival’s executive director.
