School Sales Tax Implementation
This measure seeks to implement a sales tax in the county set at a rate of 1 percent in order to benefit school facility needs. If this measure is approved, it would still need to be implemented by the Carroll County Board and they could choose to set the tax at or below the 1 percent mark. The money from this tax addition would be given to the schools based on their enrollment numbers.

Fire District Levy Implementation
Increase property tax by .15% to help pay for ambulance service.
Maple Park -
Bond Repayment Rate
Set the repayment rate for bonds in the village at a rate of $91,000 for 2011 and to have that rate increase by .5 percent in the following years.

Forest District Bond Measure
This measure seeks to allow the district to borrow $30 million for the forest district in order to expand land holdings as well as make capital improvements on the current preserved lands. The bond would add around $12 a year to the current property tax rate for average homes in the county.

Senior Services Levy Increase
This measure seeks to raise property taxes in the township by .15 percent in order to pay for Senior Service programs offered in the township as well as maintenance to the senior service building.
Yorkville -
Bike Trail Bond Measure
This measure will be the second attempt by the city to get voter approval of a bond which would go towards funding bike trails throughout the city. The bond would be in the amount of $1 million but a portion of it would be paid for by the state as some proposed bike trails would be along major highways.
Sales Tax Increase
This measure seeks to increase the city sales tax by a rate of 1 percent making the total tax 8.25 percent if it is approved. The money generated from this tax addition would likely go towards helping to pay off the sewer bond since the city does not have other revenue sources to pay the bond.

This measure seeks to increase the local property tax rate by $1.40 per $100 of assessed property value. The money would be used to ensure school services and programs continue to be offered.

Term Limit Implementation
Seeks to implement term limits, both trustees and presidents would only be able to serve three consecutive terms in office.
Pension Sustainability Question
This measure asks voters if they think that the Illinois General Assembly and Governor should implement sustainable pension reforms for public employees. This is just an advisory question.

Treasurer Appointment Question
This measure will ask residents if they want to allow the Mayor and corporate authorities to appoint the City Treasurer for an indefinite term.
School District Bond Measure
This measure seeks to create a bond in the amount of $8 million in order to help pay for services and programs offered in the school as well as help pay for salaries.

Sales Tax Renewal Question
This measure seeks to renew the current sales tax rate in the city which is set at 8.25 percent. In 2007 voters approved a one percent increase which will expire this year so if it is not renewed then the sales tax rate would go back down to 7.25 percent.
