Cyber Monday Might Not Have Best Deals

Retail shopping in November and December are projected to generate $89 billion, according to advisory firm Forrester Research. That’s a 13 percent growth over last year.

But despite the projected boost in sales, today’s online shopping might not bring you the biggest savings.

Sucharita Mulpuru is with Forrester:

"There’s a reputation that precedes it. People expect it. It’s sort of like Black Friday was like 25 years ago where people hear there are great deals so they converge online and go check out what happens."

Mulpuru says the deepest discounts on various items happen throughout the year. But she says Black Friday and Cyber Monday will still continue to be big shopping days simply for their proximity to Christmas.
