DeKalb, IL – Cavel International in DeKalb is the nation's last slaughterhouse that slaughters horses for human consumption. Illinois' governor signed a bill banning the practice last month. Cavel is currently challenging that ban in federal court. Through it all for the past seven years one private citizen has been watching Cavel as close as anyone else. Today we hear her story. WNIJ's Tony Arnold reports.
