Democrat Scott Drury announced Tuesday a pivot in his campaign for higher office. The state representative has set his sights on the state office of attorney general.
Lisa Madigan announced last week she would not seek another term as attorney general. She has not announced future plans.
Drury was among a pool of Democrats running for Illinois governor. In an announcement on social media, Drury says he's now running for attorney general to "end corruption in Illinois."
Erika Harold, of Urbana, is running for attorney general as the Republican candidate.
