Early voting started Monday and runs through Nov. 2. Early voting is expected to be healthy this election year due to a tight race between Governor Pat Quinn and Republican challenger Bruce Rauner.
In Rockford, election officials report early voting has been "steady" with more than 200 people voting Monday.
DeKalb County officials also report more than 200 people voted on the first day, a majority of those in Sycamore.
