Ebola-Affected Countries At Risk For Measles Outbreak

Ebola-hit countries in West Africa are at risk for a measles outbreak, which could infect hundreds of thousands of people.

That’s according to a study in the journal Science

Researchers say there could be more deaths from other diseases because of the devastating impact on the countries' vaccination programs. Experts said an increase in infection is likely.

More than 10,000 people died in the largest ever outbreak of the Ebola virus and 24,350 cases have been reported in Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone.
