The recent death of Chicago firefighter Daniel Capuano brought some strong emotions out of Mayor Rahm Emanuel Wednesday.
He told reporters the building’s owner didn’t get the proper permit to do construction on the elevator in which the firefighter fell to his death.
“I hope that gentleman carries that the rest of his life on his conscience. The Capuano children deserve better than what he did,” Emanuel said.
Emanuel says the city is referring the case to the state’s attorney for possible prosecution.
