Got Writer's Block? Need Advice On Getting An Edit? Help Is Coming!

You rise at 5:00 every morning, hoping for an hour of creativity before the kids awake. You fire up your laptop and stare at the blank Word .doc, straining to write the greatest opening line since Anna Karenina.

Bust.

Happy writers are all alike. Each unproductive writing session is unproductive in its own way.

WNIJ is proud to present the advice and experience of writers who struggled to hone their narratives -- and succeeded. Our free `Writing the Novel' discussions include Katie Andraski, Charles Blackstone and GK Wuori. Each of these WNIJ Book Series authors will discuss their writing processes and roads to publication, and take your questions at the following events:

Monday, Feb. 16, at the Nordlof Center in Rockford.

Wednesday, Feb. 18, in WNIJ's brand new Studio A.

Each free event starts at 7:00 p.m., and will be moderated by WNIJ Book Series editor Dan Klefstad.

For both events, we ask that you call Maria Boynton to guarantee your seat. 815-753-9000 or mboynton@niu.edu

WNIJ's newly-refurbished Studio A (801 N. 1st St., DeKalb).

We look forward to helping you get your novel off to a good start -- or a fantastic finish!
