People who signed up for health insurance with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois now have until the end of January to pay their premiumand still get coverage for all of the month.
According to a statement, the company is extending the payment deadline for those who signed up for new health coverage through the Health Insurance Marketplace with a Jan. 1, 2014 effective date.
While coverage is effective starting Jan. 1, it is not active until customers make their first premium payment.
