Rockton, IL – The U-S invasion of Iraq changed the lives of millions of people in that country. Those in power found themselves on the run. Everyday people rejoiced in their new freedoms, but struggled to survive in the face of the rising insurgency.
But one Iraqi woman's life was affected in a way she never could have imagined. And a young soldier from Illinois played an important role in those life-changing events.
