There's only one week left for Illinois residents to file their taxes.
This year's deadline is April 18, and an estimated 2 million taxpayers are waiting until the last minute to send in their returns. However, Department of Revenue spokesman Terry Horstman says more have already filed.
"More than 4 million taxpayers have already filed their 2016 Individual Income tax returns, and have received refunds totaling over $760 million."
87% of received tax returns were filed electronically. Residents can find more information at the Department's website.
