DeKalb, IL – Former 14th District Congressman Bill Foster had a lot in common with Gabrielle Giffords when they served together in the U.S. House. They were both moderate Democrats serving in conservative districts, they held dozens of "Congress on Your Corner" events, and they were in extremely tight races against Republicans favored by the Tea Party. That's a point Foster says they often commiserated over. She won her race this past November...he lost. Here's an extended segment of WNIJ's Susan Stephens' interview with Foster in which he discusses Giffords, the importance of meeting face-to-face with constituents, and the rage he often encountered at public events.
