Justin Bieber Owes Hamilton PD

CC 3.0

“Bieber Fever” hit western Illinois hard when pop star Justin Bieber decided to spend the night in Hancock County.

It turns out… he took a little something extra with him when he left:  a bill from the local police department.

More than 200 fans gathered near the ten-thousand dollar per night mansion where Bieber stayed in Hamilton at the end of June.  The town has just 3000 residents, so it might be about the same size as Bieber’s entourage.

Police Chief Robb Bell says he had to call in the entire department… that’s four people counting himself… to keep people safe as they tried to see Bieber

The final price tag for his department, $2000.

“I assume we are going to have to eat this money… the taxpayers will… but I did send a bill to his record label and his tour manager," he said.

If the bill gets tossed in the trash, it will be up to Hamilton residents to shell out a little more money for the honor of hosting the multi-millionaire pop star for a night.   As for those wondering what he thought of his visit… no one knows.

The mansion where he stayed is listed on AirBNB but with no reviews.
