List Of Warming Centers For Winnebago And Boone Counties
UPDATE: The Salvation Army on 18th Avenue is no longer a warming site and has been removed from this list.
The City of Rockford Human Services Department has released a list of warming centers for the 2012-2013 winter season for Winnebago and Boone counties.
These centers provide safe and warm locations during extreme cold temperatures for those without housing as well as those who may not have the resources to heat their homes adequately. The centers will be available November 2012 through April 2013.
The list of centers, their hours and any additional information follows:
Winnebago County Sites

Winnebago County Justice Center 650 W. State St. Rockford
Lobby open 24 hrs/7 days a week

Public Safety Building 420 W. State St. Rockford
Lobby open if 32 degrees or below Mon-Fri 7:00am – 5:00pm

24 hrs/7 days a week. Meals served 3 times per day at 7:00am - Noon - 5:30pm
