State officials have announced money from a statewide construction program to repair municipal, township and county infrastructure in Bureau, DeKalb and LaSalle Counties. The funds are in addition to the annual Motor Fuel Tax revenues these municipalities are scheduled to receive this year.
According to a state news release, the money is part of the fourth in a series of annual grants that have come to municipalities for local transportation projects under the Illinois Jobs Now! program since 2010. The projects will be selected and managed locally, with the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) providing oversight.
