New Speed Limit Signs Delayed

Illinois transportation officials say last week's weather delayed crews who were putting up speed limit signs along interstates. A new state law  increases the maximum speed limit to 70 mph on many tollways and interstate highways.

IDOT hoped to install about 900 new signs by next week. State officials have asked drivers to obey the old limit until the new signs are installed.
