Northern Illinois University's Dan Nichols won a Grammy Sunday.
He is head of the university's Recording Services. NIU graduate Matt Ponio also shared in the Grammy.
They won for the Best Chamber Music/Small Ensemble Performance for engineering Third Coast Percussion's Album "Third Coast Percussion | Steve Reich."
Nichols is the founder and CEO of Aphorism Studios, Inc., a multimedia production company.
