DeKalb, IL – The DeKalb-area's largest employer is suffering a cash-flow crisis. That was the description offered by Northern Illinois University President, John Peters. Among other things, Peters has ordered a hiring freeze. He says the goal is to conserve cash, so that NIU can continue to meet payroll.
