WNIJ news – Northern Illinois residents continue to survey damage, after a rare November tornado touched down in parts of Winnebago and Boone Counties. A Rockford School District school bus was blown over, resulting in minor injuries for the five students who were on board. Several homes and the village hall suffered significant damage in Caledonia. Boone County officials continue damage assessments in the village, in hopes of determining whether it is necessary to ask for state assistance. Tuesday's classes have been canceled for Caledonia Elementary and for the North Boone School District. Meanwhile, Com-Ed crews say they've restored power to nearly 40-thousand customers.
