Proposed Rules Posted For Medical Marijuana
Illinois residents who want to use medical marijuana will have to be fingerprinted, undergo a background check, and pay an annual fee for a special ID.
The state health department has posted nearly 50 pages of proposed regulations for legal use of the drug. They have also opened an informal public comment period.
All comments and suggested changes to the draft rules should be sent electronically to DPH.MedicalCannabis@illinois.gov
