In one of his first appearances since leaving office, former Illinois Governor Pat Quinn took shots at his successor.
On Friday, Quinn spoke to law students in Chicago about consumer rights.
Meanwhile, Quinn says Governor Bruce Rauner’s proposed budget is the worst he’s seen in state history.
Quinn says he’s being unfair to everyday people.
"People should have a right to have a union and negotiate their wages , their working conditions, and their benefits. Clearly, that's being attacked by Rauner and we've got to fight back," Quinn said.
Rauner, a Republican ousted Quinn, a Democrat in November.
Quinn says pushing consumer rights and organizing are in his immediate future.
But he didn't rule out a future run for public office.
