WNIJ news – Hearings on radical Islam in America begin Thursday in the House Homeland Security committee. Committee chair, Peter King, says the hearings are necessary to find out the extent of al-Qaeda's influence in the U.S. But, some see it as a showcase to demonize Islam. That includes the managing editor of the Madison-based magazine, The Progressive. Wednesday night, Amit Pal spoke at Northern Illinois University about his new book, "Islam Means Peace."
