Northern Illinois University’s long-time president is stepping down at the end of the academic year. John Peters made the announcement at his annual State of the University address Thursday.
The 67-year-old political scientist and administrator was hired in 2000 as the university’s eleventh president. His last day in the position will be June 30th, 2013.
