Researchers Discover Use Of Engineered Stem Cells In Fighting Brain Cancer

Scientists from Harvard Medical Schooldiscovered a way to turn genetically engineered stem cells into machines that fight brain cancer.

The cells produced and secreted toxins which killed tumors without harming normal cells in mice. The next step is to test the procedure in humans.

Experts say this is "the future" of cancer treatment and hope the therapies can be used in trials in the next five years.
