DeKalb – An Illinois Senate panel has issued its proposed map of Illinois Congressional districts. Most of Rockford would go from the 16th District to the 17th, represented by Republican Bobby Schilling. DeKalb, in the 14th District, would be placed in the 16th District represented by Republican Don Manzullo. Sycamore would remain in the 14th District, currently represented by Randy Hultgren (R). State lawmakers are expected to vote on the proposal in the next few days. If approved, it then goes to Governor Pat Quinn's desk. Here's the website for the proposed map:
