The Rockford Park District Board of Commissioners has approved the Rockford Park District’s Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Transition Plan. According to a news release, the ADA Transition Plan is an update of the District’s original transition plan designed in 1993 and will guide the District’s accessibility improvement efforts over the next 10 years.
The Rockford Park District’s ADA Transition Plan will cost approximately $2.3 million, which will be spent over the next 10 years to meet ADA compliance standards. The Transition Plan will be funded through the Special Recreation Tax, and Repair and Replacement CIP funds.
