Rockford, IL – Rockford mayor Larry Morrissey delivered his annual State of the City address last night to an enthusiastic crowd at the Coronado Theatre. His theme was "sustainability:" he made it clear that the city had to solve its own problems instead of relying on state and federal support. Morrissey also wants to get more involved in the public school system: WNIJ's Susan Stephens reports.
