Schmack Faces High-Profile Cases

The DeKalb County State's Attorney's Office is preparing for a change in leadership.  That's after Democrat Richard Schmack defeated incumbent Republican Clay Campbell in Tuesday's election. Schmack says he wants to focus on restructuring the office, with an emphasis on training younger assistants. 

While he prepares to implement his ideas, Schmack will have a lot on his plate when he takes over next month.  A high-profile murder trial and the NIU coffee fund case will be there for him to oversee.  WNIJ's Mike Moen asked Schmack about dealing with these matters head on:
