Rockford, IL – Rockford's "On The Waterfront" typically kicks off with a major concert the day before the festival officially begins. This year, it's Cheap Trick and Alice Cooper on Thursday night. Festival organizers are trying something a little different, though: the music starts a day earlier, and for the first time, it's CLASSICAL. The Rockford Symphony Orchestra performs outdoors, Ravinia-style, tomorrow night at Davis Park. WNIJ's Guy Stephens spoke with the symphony's artistic director, Steven Larsen about the "Waterfront Symphony Soireé."
