Two Dead Following Bolingbrook Shooting

Bolingbrook officials have pronounced two dead after a shooting earlier Monday in a local industrial park.

Police were sent to YCB International, an auto supply importer in the 600 block of Veterans Parkway.

According to the Chicago Tribune, police spokesman Lt. Carter Larry released details during a news briefing following the shooting.

The spokesman said three employees were in the business when the shooting took place.

Police report that two people were taken to local hospitals and confirmed dead. Several others did not sustain injuries from the shooting.

Details have not yet been released identifying the victims or shooter. However, the weapon was recovered from the scene.

According to NBC Chicago, Larry said, "We don’t believe that there is a shooter on the loose at this time and there is no concern for the public moving forward.”

Four Bolingbrook schools were placed on a soft lockdown because of the incident. All doors were locked and no one was allowed to enter or leave the building.

Police secured the area around the business and have re-opened the schools.
