Gas prices have generally increased across the state.
According to AAA, average Rockford-area prices are at $2.23 per gallon. That's a dime more than a week ago but almost fifty cents less than a year ago.
It's also ten cents less than the state average, which is currently at $2.34 per gallon. The national average is at $2.22 per gallon.
Danville and Decatur have the lowest prices per gallon in the state at $2.14. Chicago is the highest at $2.67 per gallon.
