It's Primary Election Day in Illinois!

Today is primary election day in Illinois.  In addition to selecting candidates to represent their parties, Illinois citizens are voting on a variety of county and municipal referenda.  WNIJ will bring you election results after the polls close this evening, starting at 7pm.  WNIJ's Dan Klefstad will host our coverage.  He'll be joined in the studio by NIU Political Scientist Matt Streb, on-hand to analyze today's results.  We'll also have field reports from WNIJ's Susan Stephens and Guy Stephens

Race for IL-16 "Exciting"

The race for the Republican nomination in Illinois' 16th Congressional District is one of the most closely-watched in the nation.  That's according to Matt Streb, who chairs NIU's political science department.  The race is unusual because it pits two incumbent Congressmen against each other.  Streb analyzes this race in an interview with WNIJ's Dan Klefstad.
