The Midwest Museum of Natural History in Sycamore has hosted public dissection classes for the past couple years, and they've become quite popular.

The program is part of the museum’s effort to get people interested in natural history through a hands-on experience.

The classes feature a variety of animals, including arthropods, snakes, and sharks.

Cindy Khatri, with the museum, says it’s not just anatomy students that participate in the program, but rather, a wide variety of people.

WNIJ invites the whole family to learn something new this Saturday at the "STEM Exploration Lab" taking place at the Midwest Museum of Natural History in Sycamore! From 10am to 4pm on March 30th, the museum will be filled with dozens of hands-on science exhibits and interactive demonstrations for all ages.  Presented in partnership with NIU STEM Outreach, visitors get to experiment with everything from mirrors and magnets to lasers and more!  You'll find all the details when you visit our Events page.
