Chad Nichols work at the family farm in Marengo growing more than 1,000 types of fruit and vegetables for sale in Chicagoland at farmers markets and resturants.
A veteran of the Army National Guard, he received a bachelor's degree in philosophy at Illinois State University and later earned a Master of Business Administration degree.
He and his wife -- who met in college -- have two daughters. They live in Dekalb with two cats, a dog, two horses, 20 chickens, a bearded dragon and many fish.
His hobbies include cooking, being outdoors with the family, and enjoying The family's many pets.
