Illinois applications for unemployment benefits are now available online in Spanish and Polish. The translations follow other changes made to help people whose primary language is not English. The Illinois Department of Employment Security has had requests for more than 60 languages.
The translator button is in the upper-right corner of the IDES website. The agency says for each language, the IDES reviews more than 280 website pages with nearly 94,000 characters.
