NIU Jazz Ensemble swings into a new season

DeKalb, IL – NIU Jazz Ensemble director Ron Carter has built a jazz program on the foundation prepared by ensemble founder Ron Modell. After 11 years at the helm he talks about how far he's come, where things stand and how he'd like to continue to train his students to be versatile professionals. The Ensemble's new CD Swinging Every Which Way But Loose will be released at tonights concert.
