Paul Taylor

Paul Taylor is a long-time rural resident and third-generation farmer. He his wife, Barbara, farm on their nearly centennial family farm in northwestern DeKalb County. 

Having grown up on a diversified livestock and crop farm, Paul has been involved in poultry, sheep, cattle and hog farming. Currently he raises crops for seed, feed, and fuel as well as vegetables for Del Monte. Soil and water conservation and sustainability are priorities on the farm.

Paul has been involved with farm organization leadership and has made many visits to Springfield and to Washington, D.C., to advocate for fellow farmers. Among other activities, he was a participant in the Wisconsin Rural Leadership Program and a Fellow in the Kellogg National Fellowship Program, experiencing diverse global social, cultural and economic environments.

He holds degrees from Kishwaukee College and Southern Illinois University and took a Master’s Degree in Agricultural Economics from UW-Madison.
