Phillip LeFevre was born and raised in Dixon and has lived in Dixon, on and off, for nearly 30 years.
A graduate of Dixon High School, he earned a bachelor's degree in English at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign and did his Master's work in Literature at Harvard University.
For 19 years, he taught high school English in suburban Boston, and then in Harlem for the New York City Public Schools.
Phillip was executive director of Dixon Main Street and is a certified grant writer.
He writes for Sauk Valley Sun, a monthly newspaper serving Dixon, Sterling, and Rock Falls. He also finds rare coins for numerous clients.
