The amount of time parents spend with their kids has virtually no relationship to how children turn out.

That’s according to a study that will be published in the Journal of Marriage and Family.

Thecriteria of the study includes children’s academic achievement, behavior and emotional well-being. Scientists say time spent with parents can be particularly harmful to children when the parents are stressed, sleep-deprived, guilty and anxious.
