Rachel Berry is an artist, activist, and unschooling mother of two living on a small family farm near Princeton, Ill. There she studies native plants, herbalism, and regenerative agriculture techniques and applies them to her own property.
She also is a first-generation farmer.
Rachel spends her free time painting, writing, and nurturing plants in and around her homestead, often with her children in tow.
She is an advocate for local food systems, women's leadership and political participation, and the rights of nature. She is an active volunteer with grassroots organizations such as the Illinois Valley Specialty Growers Association, Voices from the Prairie, and the Illinois Industrial Hemp Association.
