A northern Illinois group will announce resources this week to support agencies working with area youth.
The Mill Foundation helps programs and organizations with grants that benefit disadvantaged youth in the Rockford’s region. The foundation helps nonprofit organizations and programs in the greater Rockford area that support children, youth, and families and are compatible with the foundation mission.
Mill will announce the recipients of this year’s grants at 10 a.m. Thursday, at the Ken Rock Community Center in Rockford.
Over the past years, the foundation has given awards ranging from $1,000 to $17,000 per program. Last year’s recipients include the Northwest Community Center, the Boys and Girls Club of Rockford, and the Northern Illinois Food Bank.
