Genoa, IL – School leaders have had a lot of difficult choices to make in the wake of the state's budget crisis and there are many more tough decisions ahead.
This is the last day on the job for Scott Wakeley, the superintendent of the Genoa-Kingston school district. But he's not escaping the stress of finding ways to deliver a quality education under the uncertainties of the state's budget. Wakeley starts his new job as superintendent of Yorkville schools on Thursday, the first day of the state's new fiscal year.
