Charlotte’s Web for the Performing Arts has long been known for presenting an eclectic mix of folk, blues and other types of ‘roots’ music. For most of its 128 years, the focus of what is now the Mendelssohn Performing Arts Center has been classical music.
Earlier this summer, Rockford's Charlotte's Web for the Performing Arts Celebrated their 40th Anniversary with a day-long music festival. Artists like James Lee Stanley, Ernie Hendrickson, the Dean Moriarty Jazz Band and many others played throughout the day, filling the air with music. If you weren't able to be there, join WNIJ this weekend for musical highlights from the day. Our special two-hour edition of Free-Range Radio starts at 6pm Sunday, on 89.5, WNIJ.
