Teachers in Dixon will head back to class. The school board and teacher's union reached agreement on a four-year contract early Wednesday morning. Classes will resume Wednesday and students will begin standardized testing by the end of this week.
In Dixon, teachers and the school board remain split on how to resolve a strike. Members of the Dixon Education Association bargaining team walked out of contract talks Monday. The main sticking point is salary increases. As they two sides stand apart on a contract, students are supposed to be taking standardized tests.
