Tony Scodwell is a Beloit native whose musical journeys have taken him to Boston's Berklee School of Music on a full scholarship, followed by a stint in the Stan Kenton Orchestra, and decades of professional touring and trumpeting since then!
WNIJ invites you to check out pianist, singer, and composer Mose Allison at the Elgin Community College Arts Center, Saturday, November 3rd at 7:30pm. Not only will you enjoy Allison’s unique blend of jazz, blues and wit, but ECC has something special planned to honor this true American original on his 85th birthday! Revered by musicians and fans alike, Allison has been writing, recording and performing for over five decades and his songs have been recorded by the likes of Van Morrison, The Who, The Clash and many others.
Join WNIJ and fellow art-lovers for this year's "Artist Walk," Saturday, October 6th, hosted by The Art Attack - School of Art. This all-day community event guides you to various gallery spaces throughout Sycamore and DeKalb area where you can meet dozens of local artists, see their work, watch demonstrations and much more! The Artist Walk is free, with opportunities to participate in an "after hours" party, fashion show, and silent auction.
